History ...

SoundsLikeBarnsley officially began just over 16 years ago with a rough Pilot Episode. Over the years since, our small group of enthusiasts have tried to promote local music and creative talent. We have been involved in local events, gigs, documentaries, and seasonal fun.
Here is a direct link to the full channel.I had been contributing GTV Glentertainment mini episodes for a local community internet show called The Tuesday Show - this was a weekly live streamed magazine style show with hosts, live performances, interviews, news and even a special mindful thought for the day. It honestly didn't have many viewers and it was in the really early days of streaming but it was my first outing behind a camera, live editing, and then in front of the camera presenting gig news and cheap magic tricks. The core team and guests were great and making the show was good fun.
Click here for a cheeky montage.I have also created live and narrative music videos for bands, originally for fun, and eventually professionally as part of my college duties for assessment evidence.See below for a larger list of special moments - putting my work into catagories. I am still working on mash up showreels but for now have a look through the back-catalogue ...

I have helped organise, steward, give tech support or stage management, and also the joy or performing or comparing. Here are some of those moments ...

Hosting gig updates and VTs for The Tuesday Show circa 2007-9. When I was a resident sound engineer @ The Arches I began creating videos and promoting local gigs, which were aired on Bview. Eventually the promotion group Burn Down the Disco moved to The Lucorum (now The Garrison). My contributions on the Tuesday show began as gig listings with some extended roles and hosting. Here's another link to that cheeky montage.
If for some reason any sound gigs got cancelled then out came the unusual videos - like this Dr Who silliness.Below is a list with links giving some structure and pointers to the other good moments:
